Archangel is the proven integration of aircraft, pilot, sensors, and weapons, capable of long duration Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and nearby or standoff Direct Action missions. Archangel maintains a common operating picture in support of ground and maritime operations or in the role of an Airborne Command and Control.

Archangel’s dual use mission design of ISR and Direct Action are capabilities suited for both Military and Civil Security Departments in the conduct of Border Security, Counterinsurgency, Counterterrorism, Counterdrug and Counter Piracy operations.

The Archangel Flight Training Device (FTD) features an aircraft specific flight deck, utilizing an actual Archangel cockpit offering the form, fit, feel and function of using all real equipment. The experience is further enhanced by realistic electrical flight control loading, sophisticated sound and audio simulation and a 220° x 40° field of view, multi-channel visual system that uses LED-IR projectors that provides cues in day, dusk and night VFR and IFR conditions and also allows for night vision training.

The FTD also incorporates the actual CMC 4000 suite of avionics with the real OFP, allowing the device to stay current with any upgrades to the aircraft software. A Short-Focus PDU has been specially designed for the simulator to allow the use of the heads-up display with the simulator visual system.

The FTD provides effective training for pilots in the use of an automated flight deck, systems integration and other procedures, including work load management, situational awareness and decision making all in normal, abnormal and emergency conditions. It also provides a realistic tactical environment and geo-specific UAE database to allow for mission training with all of the Archangel tactical systems. The FTD meets all requirements for a Level 6 FTD as defined by the FAA.
